The next iPhone is only four months away but on the timetable of Apple’s vast supply chain is actually really close to launch. Not only that, but this shell matches many of the other cases and renders that have been leaked. At this point, we’d say you can consider it confirmed: the iPhone 6 will be larger, thinner, made largely of aluminum, and possibly have a glowing Apple logo on the back. Theres a possibility that the company is planning to bring its iconic glowing logo from its MacBook line over to the iPhone. (Complex, Cult Of Mac)

Just about everyone out there is expecting Carmelo Anthony to opt out of his current contract and become a free agent this summer. Everyone except Phil Jackson.
Jackson knows that Anthony could be gone this summer, since he would be free to sign with another team if he were to opt out of his contract. But according to reports, Jackson met with him recently and told him that "it might be a good idea to hang in here and see what it's like for a year." And Anthony was reportedly open to the idea. He didn't commit to anything. But he did tell Jackson that he would at least consider staying with the Knicks for one more season and delaying his free agency.

Shelly Sterling Sold L.A. Clippers For $2 Billion

Shelly Sterling has sold the L.A. Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a whopping $2 billion.
As TMZ Sports reported ... the deal was signed just before midnight Thursday. The NBA must approve the sale, but our sources say NBA commissioner Adam Silver has been well aware of Shelly's negotiations with Ballmer and other potential buyers and will support it.
Donald Sterling has made rumblings he may challenge the sale, but he will almost certainly fail.
TMZ Sports broke the story ... Donald gave Shelly sole control over the team -- allowing her to sell it -- and even sent a letter to Silver affirming that Shelly had the reigns.
As for Ballmer ... he vowed Thursday night to keep the team in Los Angeles. Ballmer is entrenched in Seattle -- which currently has no NBA team -- and even made a bid to buy the Sacramento Kings and move the team to the Emerald City.
It's pretty remarkable -- just one week ago, it appeared Silver would force an involuntary sale of the team, but Shelly and her lawyer, Pierce O'Donnell, took the initiative to solicited bids and ended up with a buyer pretty much everyone can get behind.

Apple and Beats Electronics officially closed the deal for a buyout of the headphones and streaming music company, coming to a final agreement of $3 billion. It's $200 million short of the initial price that was leaked two weeks ago.
About $2.6 billion will be handed over to Beats now, with the rest coming over time. It's thought that Dr. Dre will see about $750 million of this, and Jimmy Iovine will get a few hundred million as well — both will join Apple as executives.
Apple said that they won't be combining Beats Music with iTunes, and will run it separately. “Music is such an important part of all of our lives and holds a special place within our hearts at Apple,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
“That’s why we have kept investing in music and are bringing together these extraordinary teams so we can continue to create the most innovative music products and services in the world.”

Interscope's Jimmy Iovine announced that he was stepping down from the label. Iovine has served as Chairman and CEO of Interscope for the past 25 years, easily making him the most successful label head in history. John Janick is set to take over Iovine's spot at Interscope, while Jimmy will head over to Apple in the deal.
The report states that even before it was rumored that Jimmy was leaving for Apple, Janick was running the label. Jimmy made the following statement below about his departure and his successor:
“John Janick has exactly what it takes to lead Interscope Geffen A&M: he started his own label, he understands the art of making records and the unique dynamic between a record label and artist, as well as the enormous responsibility that comes with representing one of the greatest artist rosters ever assembled."
Jimmy will officially join Apple once their acquisition of BeatsByDre closes later this summer.
