Michael Jackson Hologram Performing At Billboard Awards Tonight

The King of Pop will make his debut on live TV tonight at the Billboard Music Awards, which have been teasing a "history-making performance" at the awards show. The awards show will be hosted by Ludacris, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There was some question about whether hologram MJ would be allowed to take the stage after Hologram USA and Musion Das Hologram, the companies that brought you such hits as hologram Tupac, filed an injunction to stop the performance, claiming it violated their patents on the technology.

A judge squashed that on Friday, citing lack of evidence that their patents had been used, and clearing the way for the hologram to perform "Slave to the Rhythm" from Jackson's new album Xscape.

An attorney for the patent holders told The Associated Press his clients plan to move forward with a lawsuit after the performance.

Timbaland Details Upcoming Solo Album 'Opera Noir'

"Me and my new artist, her name is V. Just me and her. And Cee-Lo. That's it," Tim said of the artists featured on the upcoming album. Not a bad cast of characters, though to any casual fan, it's obvious he could've called upon any number of his superstar homies to lend a helping hand. Still, Tim clarifies that "When [Opera Noir] comes out and you see the whole package, you'll understand why. You'll see it, and you'll be like, 'Wow, I've never seen nothing like this.'"
If you're wondering what iconic hip-hop album the esteemed producer would compare his surely cinematic Opera Noir to, he likens it to his version of Dr. Dre's 1992 masterwork, The Chronic
"I finally made my Chronic," Tim assured us. With his history, we're likely not the only ones excited to hear whatever it is that sounds like.
