Beyoncé and Jay Z take the lead with four nominations each. Beyoncé is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration ("Drunk In Love"), and Video of the Year twice ("Partition," "Drunk In Love"). Besides being nominated alongside Beyoncé for Video of the Year and twice for Best Collaboration, Jay is also nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist.
The nominations announcement comes two days after footage leaked of Solange attacking Jay Z in a The Standard Hotel elevator the night of the Met Gala. Drake, Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams and August Alsina follow behind with three nominations each.
