The Vikings officially placed Bridgewater upon the inactive list tonight, meaning Christian Ponder will obtain the start against the Packers. If Ponder goes down, the Vikings would need to turn to Chandler Harnish, who had been just called up coming from the practice squad today.
Bridgewater is predicted to become healthy sufficient to play again in a few days, so this may come out as being last start for Ponder, the previous first-round pick who didn’t pan out to the Vikings.
Minnesota’s other inactives are linebacker Chad Greenway, tight end Kyle Rudolph, linebacker Brandon Watts, guard David Yankey, guard Austin Wentworth and defensive end Scott Crichton.
Green Bay’s inactives are WR Jarrett Boykin, QB Scott Tolzien, CB Demetri Goodson, LB Carl Bradford, LB Sam Barrington, C Garth Gerhart and DL Josh Boyd.
